Enabling Antivirus Logging
IMail AntiVirus Server logs error messages and files to the Windows Application Event Log. However, logging is not enabled by default. If you want IMail AntiVirus Server to log error messages, you must enable logging in Symantec AntiVirus Scan Engine Web Administrator
To log events to the Windows Application Event Log:
- On the Symantec AntiVirus Scan Engine administrative interface, in the left pane, click .
- On the tab under , in the list, select the appropriate logging level. The default logging level for the Windows Application Event Log is (Windows 2000 Server/Server 2003 only).
- Click to save the configuration.
- Do one of the following:
- Click to make additional changes to the Symantec AntiVirus Scan Engine configuration.
- Click to save your changes and restart the scan engine service now.
- Click to save your changes. Changes will not take effect until the service is restarted.
