Adding a User During Install
If you selected the IMail Database option, a System Administrator user is required. After a system administrator is added, regular users can be added at this point.
Click to add a new user. This option will continue to provide the option to add a new user until you click .
: If you are installing IMail Premium, it is recommended that users are not created during installation, as the associated collaboration userid is not created.
- . Enter the User ID to identify a user's mail account. The User ID can be from 1 to 30 characters long consisting of the characters a-z, A-Z, 0-9 and _(underscore). Commas, spaces, hyphens and equal signs are not permitted.
- Enter the user's full name is to help the system administrator identify each user. The full name MAY be used in certain outgoing mail messages from this system. This name must be shorter than 62 characters.
- Enter a user password. It is used to connect to the POP3 server to retrieve mail. Passwords are limited in length to 3 to 30 alphanumeric characters and cannot include asterisks.
::Users can be added after the installation using the IMail Administrator.
