BitDefender AntiVirus for IMail Server is an add-on product for IMail Server.
Ipswitch IMail Server provides SOFTWIN BitDefender technology as the Standard AntiVirus Edition.
BitDefender developed by SOFTWIN, is equipped with state of the art anti-virus technology, to combat the latest known viruses. BitDefender is one of the most comprehensive virus scanners available, and with its integration into IMail Server, you can be sure that your mail server will not be compromised. BitDefender AntiVirus for IMail Server works with IMail Server to find and repair infected messages before they get to your mail customers. BitDefender AntiVirus for IMail Server searches all incoming and outgoing mail for viruses, worms, trojan horses, and other destructive code. It does this by comparing all mail messages with a list of known virus definitions.
If BitDefender AntiVirus for IMail Server detects a virus, it can attempt to repair the infected file, delete the message, or bounce the message back to the sender.
This version of the Standard AntiVirus for IMail incorporates BitDefender version 2.14.
IMail Anti-Virus Standard (BitDefender) will be installed to the same directory as IMail Server (usually C:\IMail).

When the installation program is complete the "InstallShield Wizard Complete" screen appears.
Upon successful installation, open IMail Administrator, and click on the new AntiVirus tab at the top of the page.
Things to Keep in Mind
1. Open the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Windows Control Panel.
2. Select the Antivirus program you want to uninstall, and follow the on-screen instructions.
