Enabling Anti-Virus Logging (Symantec)
IMail Anti-Virus Server logs error messages and files to the Windows Application Event Log. However, logging is not enabled by default. If you want IMail Anti-Virus Server to log error messages, you must enable logging in Symantec Anti-Virus Scan Engine Web Administrator
To log events to the Windows Application Event Log:
- On the Symantec Anti-Virus Scan Engine administrative interface, in the left pane, click .
- On the tab under , in the list, select the appropriate logging level. The default logging level for the Windows Application Event Log is (Windows 2000 Server/Server 2003 only).
- Click to save the configuration.
- Do one of the following:
- Click to make additional changes to the Symantec Anti-Virus Scan Engine configuration.
- Click to save your changes and restart the scan engine service now.
- Click to save your changes. Changes will not take effect until the service is restarted.
