Importing Windows NT Users
How to get here
- From the home page, click the > tab from the home page. The page appears.
- In the navigation pane, click the link. The page appears.

If a host uses the IMail Database for user mail accounts, you can import users from the NT Database and add them to the IMail database on the Import NT Users page.
: This differs from actually using the Windows NT Database, in that although the users keep their same user IDs, Administrators are required to set a default required password for importing these NT Users into the IMail database. Users can change the password after they have been imported.
- Displays the official host name (OHN) of the user's domain.
- Use this text box to enter an initial password for one or more users.
- Use this text box to confirm the password for one or more users.
- Select this check box to enable a User or Users selected from the Username list to access the Collaboration tools.
- Select this check box to enable a User or Users selected from the Username list to access Ipswitch Instant Messaging.
- This column lists the usernames of all users imported from the NT database. You can click on the link under the username to access the user's User Properties.
- This column lists the display names of the users.
- To add a user and password one at a time, select a user from the list by selecting the check box next to the Username, enter the initial password and the confirm password, and click . To add a number of users at one time, select the users you want to add, enter the initial and confirm password for all the selected users, and then click . The password must be between 3 and 15 characters.
- Click the button if you want to cancel the changes you have made.
