To access the System Log page, select SYSTEM > System Log.
The System Log contains activity information that is helpful for analysis, debugging and troubleshooting. MOVEit support often request the system logs when a system problem occurs.
The System Log page displays live entries that allow users to monitor current activities. A maximum of 5000 of the most recent results are displayed on the System Log page. New system log files are added to the end of the list. If the scrollbar is at the end of the log list when new logs are added, it moves automatically to show the new entries. To change the order, sort the Time column. For more information, see Sort System Logs.
In addition to monitoring activities on the System Log page, the system log files are saved to the folder where MOVEit Automation is installed. For more information, see System Log Settings.
To specify the amount of debug information that is saved, the filename, and maximum log file size, see System Log Settings.
You can also view and download recent task logs for individual tasks. For more information, see Task Logs.
Access control
Users can only see logs from tasks for which they have View permissions.
