AS1, AS2, and AS3 hosts define the parameters for transferring files to and from a partner using the AS1, AS2, and AS3 protocols. While the methods of transport are different for each of the three protocols, most of the rest of the file transfer process is shared. As a result, many configuration options are common to the three host types.
