Web Farm Install

To install Ipswitch Gateway in a MOVEit Transfer web farm, first create the MOVEit Transfer web farm as per the MOVEit Transfer documentation.

For each web farm node, provision a separate Windows computer to run Ipswitch Gateway for that node.

Then for each web farm node:

1. Run the Ipswitch Gateway installer on that node's Ipswitch Gateway computer, choosing option 1.
2. Run the Ipswitch Gateway installer on that MOVEit Transfer web farm node, choosing option 2.

The purpose of Ipswitch Gateway is to isolate MOVEit Transfer nodes from the Internet. Thus, for security reasons, once the Gateway nodes have been configured, firewall configurations should be altered to prevent the MOVEit Transfer nodes from being accessed directly via the Internet.
