What's New for SP1

The following features were added to MOVEit Transfer for the 2017 Plus release:

• Usability improvements. New icons and helpful placement of controls for performing common tasks and navigation.
• Drag and drop. Web UI now features easy drag and drop capability for uploads and send upon upload completion option for packages.
• Mobile server upgrade. The web application server for MOVEit Mobile was updated to the recommended version.
• Request file feature. Designated users now have the ability to send secure file requests to registered and unregistered users of MOVEit Transfer.
• Improved upgrade performance. MOVEit Transfer upgrade performance has significantly improved for certain large MOVEit Transfer environments.
• [PasswordWarnTime] and [PasswordAgeTimeWarnTime] notification macros are deprecated. Use PasswordAgeTime and PasswordDaysLeft instead.

Usability Improvements

Simplified layout for users HOME page. For details, see the MOVEit Transfer User Guide.

Drag and Drop

Drag and drop zones provide easier file uploads. You can now drag and drop files directly on your FOLDERS page, the HOME page, or whenever you create a new package.

Note If you drop files on your home page, they will be uploaded to your home directory.

Mobile Server Upgrade

The web application server used for MOVEit Mobile (Apache Tomcat) was upgraded to the latest recommended version. For details, see the MOVEit Transfer Administrator Guide.

Request File Feature

Post a request for a file to another user or third party.

Request has a workflow similar to sending a Package in MOVEit Transfer. The main difference comes when the recipient opens the posted request in his inbox and clicks Reply. The reply message expects files attached (or dragged and dropped) to the message. For details, see the MOVEit Transfer User Guide.
