You can view or configure sharing attributes through the Folder Sharing section of the Settings page.
From the Folders page, click a folder to open it. Then click the Sharing and Settings button (when available).
Customize Share Permissions (Break Inherited Folder Permissions from Parent)
Users with folder sharing permissions can share folders and with access permissions that vary from the parent folder.
If the current folder's permissions are chained to be identical to parent folder settings, when you try to add access to users the Customize Share Permissions dialog box displays. Click OK to break the relationship with the parent folder permissions and define custom permissions for this folder.
View/Revert to Parent Permissions
If a folder has "custom" sharing permissions (permissions that vary from the parent), from the Folder Settings page you can:
View. Click the View parent folder share permissions link.
Reset. Click the View parent folder share permissions link, then click the Reset to these Permissions button.

If your administrator licensed your MOVEit Transfer system to support Secure Folder Sharing, the following user types can share:
Regular Users. Regular users can share folders with regular and temp users (granting permissions to share folders is determined by your organization administrator).
File admins. File admins can oversee folder permissions for all regular and temporary users.
FileAdmins and Administrators can share. Regular users can share folders (Secure Folder Sharing) that they own with others, but they cannot delegate the power of folder sharing to another user.
Check if You Can Enable Another User to Share
To see if the user you signed-on to MOVEit Transfer with can delegate sharing permissions to other users, from folder view, click the Permissions and Settings button, and look for the Shareattribute. For example:
Open a folder. From MOVEit Transfer, open a folder.
Edit parent or subfolder settings. Edit sharing settings for any of the following:
Current working folder ().
A subfolder ().
A new folder. Click Add Folder, name it, open it, and define its share settings ().
Break chained permissions model (if necessary).
To share a folder that uses its parent folder share settings (default), you must opt to make those folder share and access settings Custom.
For example:
Add users and groups. Edit/control the access list.
Select/clear permission attributes as needed to address user needs and apply folder sharing scenarios.
Add regular and temp users from your contacts list (available to Ad Hoc users).
Add guest/unregistered users with their email.
Click Check Recipients to verify the email address(es) you entered is valid.
Note: Don't forget to notify your users that the folder is shared with them.
If folder sharing is not enabled as part of your user permissions, or if it is turned off as a site-wide policy, you can also request Virtual folder access from your MOVEit Transfer administrator. Virtual folders are shared folders created and controlled by administrators.
