System Internals - Critical Alerts and Actions

MOVEit Transfer provides a series of server and system health checks. A health check that fails will trigger critical email notifications (to the Critical System Alerts address). You can define the Critical System Alert email recipients using the MOVEit Transfer Configuration Utility.

Critical Monitors

MOVEit Transfer system monitors for certain critical events or system check failures and notifies responsible individuals by way of the Key Email Address configuration (set in the Email tab of the MOVEit Transfer Configuration Utility).


System Check	Triggers a Critical Event Notification when...
Check Local Drives	100% disk usage, disk write failure, or similar detected.
Check Transfer Web Server	IIS is out of threads, down, or not responding.
Check for Disabled Encryption	Encryption is turned off or not detected.
Invalid Certificate	Server-side SSH certificate is wrong, invalid, or expired.
Default FTP Certificate Expired	FTP cert used for FTPS is expired.
No FTP Ports Configured	No open FTP ports could be found (applies to both implicit and explicit modes).
Database Services	Database service down.
Duplicate Port	Port map duplication error.
