Enabling the IP SLAs Responder on the Destination Device
To enable the IP SLAs Responder on the destination device:
: The following instructions are example configuration instructions for configuring an IP SLA destination device. For additional configuration information, see the Cisco IOS IP SLAs Configuration Guide, Release 12.4.
- In the Cisco Command Line Interface (CLI) on the destination device, enable the privileged EXEC mode, type:
Router> enable
Type your password if prompted. - Start the global configuration mode, type:
Router# configure terminal
- Enable the IP SLA responder, type:
Router(config)# ip sla responder
- Repeat steps 1 through 3 for each IP SLA device (responder) for which you want to monitor VoIP network performance.
- Exit the global configuration mode and return to the privileged EXEC mode, type:
Router(config)# exit
