About the Asset Inventory report
The Asset Inventory Report provides a view of the network assets discovered by WhatsUp Gold in the selected device group.
To view the report:
On the WhatsUp Gold web interface, click .
Log body
The following information is listed in the report:
- . Displays the device name.
- . Displays the manufacturer's description of the physical component. This column is displayed in the report summary.
- . Displays the category in which the device was placed during discovery.
- . Displays the physical location of the device.
- . Displays the name of the contact person associated with the device.
- . Displays the SNMP OID associated with the device.
- . Displays the IP address assigned to the device. This column is displayed in the report summary.
- . Displays the MAC address assigned to the device.
- . Displays the device model.
- . Displays the device vendor.
- . Displays the serial number of the device. This column is displayed in the report summary.
- . Displays the service tag associated with the device.
- . Displays the device hardware revision. This column is displayed in the report summary.
- . Displays the software revision of the operating system used by the device.
- . Displays the device firmware revision.
Report customization
Selecting columns
Use the list to select the columns you want displayed in the report. Click to select the check box to the left of a column name to have it display in the report. Clear the check box to remove a column from the report.
Grouping columns
You can click and drag column headers to group report data by one or more columns. Click the to the right of a column name to remove grouping for that column.
Filtering columns
You can view report column data according to user-defined filters.
To create a custom filter for a column:
- Click the icon for the column you want to filter.
- Use the dialog that appears to define the filter.
- Click to apply the filter to the column.
: Multiple columns can have filters applied simultaneously.
