Working with application states
Applications can have the following states:
- (Green). The Up state indicates that all of the monitored components, critical component groups and applications that are defined in the application instance are up.
- (Red). The Down state indicates that one or more of an application's critical components, component groups or applications has exceeded its down threshold.
- (Yellow). The Warning state indicates that one or more non-critical component or application has entered the down state.
- (Gray). The Unknown state indicates that the state of the component or application cannot be determined.
- (Blue). The Maintenance state indicates that one or more component or application has been placed into a Maintenance state.
Components marked as critical cause the application to go into a Down state if the component is out of threshold. Non-critical components cause the application to go into a Warning state, unless all components are down, in which case the application goes into the Down state. Additionally, while groups are always evaluated as critical, Discreet applications within a complex application are not always critical.
