Hyper-V Disk Activity

Hyper-V Disk Activity provides disk activity metrics for Hyper-V virutal machines. It is a core WhatsVirtual performance monitor that cannot be removed from the Monitors Library. This monitor requires Windows (WMI) credentials associated with the Hyper-V host (but not associated with the individual VMs).

  1. Configure the following fields from the Device Properties view.
    • Name. Monitor instance name.
    • Description. Optional description.
    • Collection interval. Specify polling frequency (minutes).
  2. Click OK to save the monitor settings for this device.
  3. For charts and table data this monitor makes possible, check the VM Disk Activity report.
