Edit Device Filter
How to get here
To access this dialog:
- On the WhatsUp Gold web interface, in Map View, right-click inside the map. From the right-click menu, click . The Layer-2 Map Properties dialog appears.
- On the Devices tab, next to either or , click . The Edit Device Filter dialog appears.
Use the Edit Devices Filter dialog to configure device filters for a layer 2 device group on the WhatsUp Gold web interface.
Use the dialog boxes to configure the device filter.
- Select the range of devices you want to include in the filter from the list. This option sets the device range by restricting the devices filtered to one of the following groups of devices:
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to all of the devices in the current discovery file.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to devices that are used to create the network, such as routers and switches.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied only to those devices with an SNMP credential in the credential library.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to all discovered DHCP server devices.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to all discovered DNS server devices.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to all discovered server devices.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to all discovered virtual machines.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to all discovered virtual server devices.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to all discovered LAN controller devices.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to all discovered wireless APs.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to all discovered wireless AP clients.
- . Select this option if you want the filter to be applied to all discovered workstation devices.
- Use the options in the section to select specific hosts or VLANs and device categories to include in the filter.
- Click to restrict the filter to specific hostnames, IP addresses, IP address ranges or subnets.
- Click to specify the the VLANs and indexes to include in the filter.
- From the list, select the categories of devices you want to include in your device filter.
: Click inside the box in the column heading to select all of the categories. When all categories are selected, all devices are returned.
Click to save changes.
