About the Switch Port Utilization report
The Switch Port Utilization report provides a list of the bridge ports available on network devices in the selected device group.
To view the report:
On the WhatsUp Gold web interface, click .
Log body
The following information is listed in the report:
- . Displays the total number of bridge ports provided by all of the discovered network devices. This number is displayed in the report summary.
- . Displays the total number of bridge ports being used on all of the discovered network devices. This number is displayed in the report summary.
- . Displays the device name. This column is displayed in the report summary.
- . Displays the manufacturer's description of the physical component.
- . Displays the physical location of the device.
- . Displays the name of the contact person associated with the device.
- . Displays the SNMP Object ID of the network device.
- . Displays the IP Address of the network device. This column is displayed in the report summary.
- . Displays the total number of bridge ports provided by the network device. This column is displayed in the report summary.
- . Displays the number of bridge ports that are being used on the network device. This column is displayed in the report summary.
Report customization
Selecting columns
Use the list to select the columns you want displayed in the report. Click to select the check box to the left of a column name to have it display in the report. Clear the check box to remove a column from the report.
Grouping columns
You can click and drag column headers to group report data by one or more columns. Click the to the right of a column name to remove grouping for that column.
Filtering columns
You can view report column data according to user-defined filters.
To create a custom filter for a column:
- Click the icon for the column you want to filter.
- Use the dialog that appears to define the filter.
- Click to apply the filter to the column.
: Multiple columns can have filters applied simultaneously.
