Add VLAN

Use this dialog to add a VLAN to the selected device, or to edit a VLAN already associated with the device.

To add or edit a VLAN the device:

1. Use the dialog fields to specify VLAN information.
   • Specify a Name for the VLAN.
   • By default, the next highest VLAN Index number is assigned to the new VLAN. You may use this default assignment, or specify a different, unique index number.

   Note: Check your device and vendor specifications for the index ranges that your device supports. 801.1Q comliant devices support 1-4096. Additionally, some indexes are reserved by protocol or by vendors; namely 1, 4093-1095.

2. Click OK to add/update the VLAN.
