Discovery Role Editor - Actions tab

How to get here

Use this dialog to select the Action Policies for the device role you are defining. Action policies allow you to group, or sequence, multiple actions together for use on any device or monitor that has a state change occur.

The action policies in the list are set up in the Action Policies dialog. Make sure that you create the action policies you want to use in the new device role prior creating a new device role template. For more information, see About Action Policies.

Note: If you make changes to actions in a policy, the changes are applied to all of the devices and monitors that use that particular policy.

Apply this action policy. Select the WhatsUp Gold action policy you want to include in the discovery role template you are defining. Action policies that are configured and stored in the Action Policies dialog are available for use in the discovery role editor.
