Flow Port
How to get here
- From any workspace view or report in the web interface, select . The GO menu appears.
- If the Flow Monitor section is not visible, click . The Flow section of the GO menu appears.
- Select . The Applications dialog appears.
- Click . The Flow Port dialog appears.
Use this dialog to create a new pattern for Flow Monitor to use to interpret traffic on your network.
Enter or select the appropriate information in the following fields.
- . The port number; enter a port number if applicable.
- . Enter a name for the traffic that matches the port and protocols selected. This name is used by all application reports (such as Top Sender Applications and Top Receiver Applications).
- . If selected, data about traffic transmitted over this port is not classified by application.
- .
- . Select this option to classify traffic that uses the TCP protocol over this port as the application listed in .
- . Select this option to classify traffic that uses the UDP protocol over this port as the application listed in .
- . Select this option to classify traffic that uses the SCTP protocol over this port as the application listed in .
- . Select this option to classify traffic that uses the DCCP protocol over this port as the application listed in .
: You can only create one pattern for each port number. As such, you cannot categorize TCP data over a port as a different application than UDP data over the same port.
