Top NBAR Applications - Flow Details
Cisco Systems Network Based Application Recognition (NBAR) classification engine provides a network device with the ability to recognize applications, including those that dynamically assign TCP or UDP ports. The Top NBAR Applications report displays the top applications as identified using Cisco's NBAR classification engine.
- . Displays the application as identified by Cisco's NBAR classification engine.
- . Displays the total number of bytes for the selected time period.
- . Displays the number of bytes per second used by the application.
- . Displays the percentage of the total available bandwidth used by the application.
- . Displays the percentage ranking of the application within the top "n" applications.
: The source device must be configured to generate NBAR information in order for this report to generate data for the source device.
: For the Top NBAR Applications - Flow Details report, NBAR information generated by the source device is gathered by Flow Monitor from flow data using Flexible NetFlow.
: For the Top NBAR Applications - Interface Totals report, the NBAR information is gathered from the source device using SNMP polling. The option is available on the Flow Source dialog.

Configuring this workspace report in Flow Monitor
- In the title bar of the workspace report pane, select . The Configure Report dialog appears.
- Enter or select the appropriate information in the following fields.
- . Enter a title for the workspace report. This name appears in the title bar of the workspace report's pane.
- . Select the timeframe for the traffic about which you want to see a report. You can select either the last 5, 15, or 30 minutes, or the last hour.
- . Select the router interface that is used by the traffic you want to see in this report.
- . Select a direction for which the report will display data for the selected interface (In, Out, or Both).
- . Enter the number of records you would like displayed in the workspace report.
- . Select the type of data you would like displayed within the workspace report (Chart and data, Data only, Chart only).
- . Select the type of chart you would like the report to display.
- . Specify how wide, in pixels, the graph or chart should appear.
- . Specify how tall, in pixels, the graph or chart should appear.
- Click to save changes.
Exporting data from this workspace report
You can export the data displayed in this workspace report by clicking the Export
button on the workspace report menu. For more information, see Exporting report data.
About workspace reports and filters
Workspace reports only show the data matching the filters applied to the full report. If no filters are applied, all data for the selected time period are shown. For more information on filtering, see Filtering data in a view.
