Add/Edit New ADO Credential Type

How to get here

Use this dialog to create any credential type, for use in the Credentials Library, other than those predefined in WhatsUp Gold (for example, ADO). The Credentials system stores the credential (for example, ADO database connection string information) in your WhatsUp Gold database to be used when a connection is required for WhatsUp Gold. For more information, see Using Credentials.

• Name. Enter a name for the credential type. This name appears in the Credentials Library list.
• Description. Enter a short description for this credential. The description appears with the name in the Credentials Library list.
• Username. Enter the credential username; for example, an ADO database connection username.
• Password. Enter the credential password; for example, an ADO database connection password that you want to use for this credential.
• Confirm password. Re-enter the authentication password a second time to confirm that you entered the password correctly.
