WhatsUp Services Controller

How to get here

The WhatsUp Gold Services Controller application (NMServiceManager.exe) provides a single user interface to manage all Ipswitch WhatsUp Gold services. WhatsUp Gold v14.1 services controller includes services that you can start, stop, or restart:

Note: Some services are optional. If the associated product is not licensed and enabled you may not be able to start and stop the service with the WhatsUp Services Controller. Your license file determines whether or not you can access a plug-in. To update your license to purchase WhatsUp Gold Flow Monitor, VoIP plug-in, WhatsConnected, or WhatsConfigured, visit the MyIpswitch portal.

This application communicates with the new Ipswitch Service Control Manager (ISCM) to issue start, stops, and restarts to the TFTP service and the WhatsConfigured Service. The remaining five services are controlled by the Windows Service Control Manager (WSCM), therefore the service controller application communicates with the WSCM to start, stop, and restart the services. A future WhatsUp Gold release will add the five services, currently under WSCM control, to the ISCM process.

The following information is available in the WhatsUp Service Controller:
