Outgoing Interface Traffic
This NetFlow workspace report classifies and displays the traffic leaving the selected interface by its source, or from where it came.
In this report, an input interface is the destination of the selected interface's outgoing traffic.
In some cases a router can send traffic it has just received back to the interface from which it came, much like a reflection in a mirror. In some cases, this may indicate that a router has been misconfigured. NetFlow Monitor alerts you to this abnormal traffic pattern by displaying a flag next to the interface(s) on which the error is occurring.
Below the chart, outgoing traffic is summarized in bytes, by packets and flows, and as a percentage of the top x results from the current interface for the selected time period.
: You can hover over information in the column to display popup information with average data speed as a percentage of the total interface capacity.
: Interfaces with an index of 0 (zero) represent the null interface on the device. This interface is the originating interface for traffic generated by the device (such as NetFlow data) and the destination interface for traffic sent directly to the device.
