Understanding Configuration Archives

A configuration archive is any device output captured when running a configuration task or script, such as a configuration backup task. When a configuration script is run, the output from one or more commands may be captured and stored in a user or system specified key. The output is saved to the device using the key name and the time-stamp to identify it.

Note: Archives are persisted with their respective device records in the Configuration Management database.
