OS Library

OS Library enables you to apply custom OS categories to a device in Device Properties. There are three main sources of OS category information.

• Default. OS category shipped with WhatsUp Gold. (Applied manually or as part of role determination)
• Custom. Category you define. (Applied manually)
• Device. The OS descriptor reported back from the device (from the command shell, SNMP, or NetBIOS, for example).
