You can manage device group properties for a selected device group by using the actions menu () found on the Group Picker (). Only users that have permissions to access the selected device group option (administrator and others with specific device Group Write permissions) can manage the selected device group. To edit a device group, select it in the group picker, then select Edit Group from the actions menu. You may also right-click the device group name, then select Edit Group from the actions menu that appears.
When editing a device group that does not use advanced settings (i.e., not a dynamic Group or Layer 2 dynamic group, you can only modify the Name and Description properties.
When editing a dynamic group, you can specify membership with a rule builder which can access Status, properties, and configurations such as assigned credential types. Please note, these groups do not support user rights. For additional detail on Dynamic Group properties, please see Dynamic Groups.
When editing a Layer 2 dynamic group, you can specify membership based on a device's properties such as Role, Name or IP, and choose to include connected devices.
