WhatsUp Gold Live Activity

WhatsUp Gold Live Activity displays activity occurring in all areas of the application across your network monitoring environment in near real-time.

Category. The area of WhatsUp Gold in which the individual activity occurred (e.g., Monitor, Log, System).
Component. The individual element item within the specified category generating the activity (e.g., device/monitor name, log entry, service).
Severity. Indicates if the activity is being reported as Information, Warning, or Critical.
Message. Provides additional details about the specific activity that occurred.
Elapsed Time. Reports the amount of time that has passed since the specific activity occurred.

Click the settings icon to launch the Report Settings dialog. Here, you can select individual data types to alternately appear in or be hidden from the Live Activity dashboard report. Use the toggles to enable/disable specific categories (e.g., Device, Monitor, Log) and the checkboxes to enable/disable specific subcategories (e.g., Network Source Activity, Network Traffic Log) and/or severity levels (i.e., Critical, Warning, and Information). Click OK to save your selections and close the dialog.

Export report data

Report data can be exported from WhatsUp Gold, reused, and distributed in multiple formats. Select the Export Data icon to access the following options:

Excel. Generate and download a .xml spreadsheet containing your report data.
CSV. Generate and download a .csv file containing your report data.
Text. Generate and download a .txt file containing your report data.
Schedule Export. Set a recurring date and time, format, and email destination for report data export.
Important: Current report data file format options are only applicable to export schedules created using WhatsUp Gold version 2021 and later. Any report data export schedule created using an earlier version of WhatsUp Gold will still result in a .PDF output until that schedule is removed from, then recreated in the Scheduled Reports Library using the latest version of WhatsUp Gold.
