Executing Control Files Using HotSync (WS_FTP Professional)

You can save a control file (.ctl) as an icon on your desktop and use the HotSync functionality to quickly synchronize files and folders.

To set up a control file as a HotSync shortcut:

1. Go through the process of creating a control file.
2. Save the control file as a shortcut icon on your desktop.
3. To initiate the Synchronize job, double-click the shortcut icon. The Synchronize Utility is displayed to show the progress of the synchronization.

The files and folders are automatically synchronized with the location defined in the control file.
