Edit SMS Provider

From the top menu, select Server > Notifications. The Notifications page opens.
Click Create SMS. The Create SMS Notification page opens. (You can also edit an existing SMS notification by clicking on its hyperlinked name.)
Next to the Provider list, click Select. The SMS Providers page opens.
Click the hyperlinked name of the provider you want to edit. The Edit SMS Provider page opens.

This page is used to edit an SMS provider.

Provider name. Enter a name for this provider. This name is for your reference only and will never be displayed to the notification recipient.

Country. Enter the name of the country where this provider is located.

Delivery mode. Select the delivery modes you want this provider to support.

Email. Select this option to support SMS delivery via email. You must specify the Email server (either IP address or host name)through which you want to send notifications with this provider. You must also specify a valid email address for From address (the address from which the notification should appear to have been sent).
Dialup. Select this option to support SMS delivery via modem. You must enter the terminal or TAP telephone number to dial when sending a notification that uses this provider in Terminal number. In Password, enter the password if it is required. An SMS provider may require a password before it will send an SMS notification.

SMS script. Select the script you want to use when sending SMS messages with this provider.

Modem retry. Enter the number of attempts you want the system to make when sending a notification that uses this provider.

Modem Settings

Initialization string. Enter an initialization string for the modem. This string should contain the modem commands for "Command Echo Off" (EO), "Result Codes On" (QO), "Verbal Results" (V1), "Result Codes Displayed" (X4), and "Local Echo OFF" (F1). The recommended string to use is: ATEO QO V1 X4 F1.
COM port. Select the COM port to which your modem is connected.
Baud rate. Select the speed (measured in bits per second) at which the serial port will communicate with the modem. Consult the documentation for your modem if you are unsure of the appropriate selection.
Data bits. Select the type of data bit transmission to be used for communications with the selected serial port. Select from 6, 7, or 8.
Parity. Select the form of parity checking you want the modem to use. Parity checking can be specified as even (a successful transmission will form an even number), odd or none. No parity means the modems will not transmit or check a parity bit and the server will assume that there are other forms of error checking being used.
Stop bits. Select whether to use 1 or 2 bits to signal the end of a unit of transmission.
