Create SSH Host Key
This page is used to create an SSH host key for an SSH listener.
- . Enter a name for the key. This name is for your reference and is never displayed to users.
- . The type of key, DSA or RSA, that you want to generate is displayed here.
- (optional). Enter a passphrase to encrypt the key.
- (optional). Re- enter the same passphrase as above.
- . Select the key size for the key. A higher key size creates a more secure key, but takes longer to generate. Also, as many clients do not support 2048-bit or 3072-bit DSA keys with 64-byte signatures, if you select these sizes, you will see a warning that some clients may be unable to connect to your server, if this is the only available SSH host key.
