Auto Responder Tab
How to get here
Use this area to set up an automatic response so that each time you receive message, a prepared message is sent back to the sender. This feature is activated when the check box is checked. Once activated text can be entered in the box.
: To prevent automatic responses to bulk mailers, an automatic response is not sent if the original message contains the Precedence:bulk header. To prevent automatic responses to list server mailing lists, automatic responses are not sent if the original message contains imailsrv in the mail address.
- Select the check box to enable the Auto Responder. Clear the check box to disable it.
- Select INBOX from the list box if you want all incoming mail to activate the automatic response. If you want the automated response to be activated only for any other mailbox folder, select it from the list box.
- If, in addition to sending an automatic response, you want to forward incoming messages to another mailbox folder, type the folder name in the text box.
- In the text box, enter the message to be returned to all senders who send mail to the specified mailbox. The first line of the body of the message is used as the subject line for the automatic response.
