- New Microsoft Windows Installer

A New Microsoft Windows Installer an installation and configuration service provided with Windows, has replaced the v11.02 InstallShield® IMail Server Installation. This change was made to overcome issues InstallShield® could not handle.

- New Archiving Options for IMail Server

IMail Server v11.03 now has capability to Archive e-mail messages using a mailbox based options. New functionality for this feature includes capability to archive selectively as follows:

- Commtouch Zero-Hour Virus Protection

Commtouch® Zero-Hour Virus Protection (sold separately) is now available to function alone or together with the following IMail products:

- Commtouch® Premium Anti-spam

- IMail Anti-virus powered by BitDefender®

- IMail Anti-virus powered by Symantec™

New Commtouch® Zero-Hour user interface for the Web Administrator can be found at Domain > Commtouch Zero Hour, (Console Administrator Domains > Commtouch Zero Hour Filter) click Help from the left navigation panel for more detail information.

Commtouch® Zero-Hour Virus Outbreak Protection provides a complementary shield to conventional AV technology, protecting in the earliest moments of malware outbreaks, and right through as each new variant emerges.

Server-side polymorphic malware has become impossible for traditional AV engines to block, since there are typically thousands of distinct variants, and malware distributors often release hundreds of new variants per hour.

Commtouch® Zero-Hour Virus Outbreak Protection provides a complementary shield to conventional AV technology, protecting in the earliest moments of malware outbreaks, and right through as each new variant emerges.

Note: IMail Server was modified to handle the Commtouch scan at the SMTP level, allowing the new "Reject" classification type to occur, rejecting a message before being accepted.

- SMTP Connection Checks / Reject Connections

A modification to SMTP Connection Checks has been made to allow the capability to reject connections versus receiving and then deleting the message. Connection Checks will begin checking as soon as the data is received from the SMTP client.

This SMTP Connection Check modification also allowed the capability to add Reject Connection as a new option to the following IMail Server features:

Upgrades will not affect any previous settings for Administrators that are using this feature. The Delete Message option functionality will still function as in previous versions. Administrators must also be aware that when the option Reject Connection is used, the validation will run during the MAIL FROM command.

Note: New installations will by default will not have Connection Checks or SPF enabled.

- "adduser.exe"

"adduser.exe has been rewritten to handle internationalization for the Full Name.
