Restart Your System

After successful installation, some installations will prompt for you to restart your system. This is usually caused by the installation not setting up a file properly. A Dynamic Link Library (DLL) is most likely to cause this problem. To ensure that your IMail Server runs properly, restart as soon as possible.

Initial IMail Administration Server Login

After successful installation you will need to create a System Administrator, and possibly some test users. To do this, login as follows:

From the Start menu, select Programs > Ipswitch IMail Server > IMail Server Administration. The IMail Web Administration home page should appear.

-OR-

Open your web browser and enter "http://localhost/IAdmin". Localhost will bypass the login screen and take you directly to the IMail Web Administration home page.

Adding Administrators and Users to Your System

After successful login to the IMail Server, you will need to create a System Administrator, and possibly some test users.
