Hacked Account Mail Regulator (HAMR) Examples

Example 1

IMail Administrator has multiple domains, and only wants mydomain3.com and mydomain8.com domains to have the Message Deliver Limits set, with all the other domains allowing unlimited message delivery.

• At the System Level be sure that it is set to "Disabled". Reset the Domains and User settings to be sure all overrides are cleared. Click Save, if changes were made.
• For each domain:
  • Go to Domain Properties, then click on the Default Settings link from the Navigation panel to display the Message Delivery Limits.
  • Change the Status "Enabled". This will activate the Interval, Message Limit and Action settings, allowing you to enable custom Message limits for the domain.
  • Click Save.

Example 2

IMail Administrator has many users that he would like to enable the default Message Delivery Limits. He's had a few problems with a few users being hacked, so he wants to narrow these user's limits with a custom setting.

• At the System Level be sure that it is set to "Enabled". Reset the Domains and User settings to be sure all overrides are cleared. Click Save, if changes were made.
• For each user:
  • Go to User Properties, (IMail Administration Console, click on Message Delivery Limits).
  • Change the user's Status to "Enabled". This will activate the Interval, Message Limit and Action settings, allowing you to enable custom Message limits for the specified user.
  • Click Save.
