Searching Email

Basic Search and Column Filtered Searching

Use the basic search feature to search a selected mailbox folder for a specific word or phrase. Use the column filters to further customize your search criteria.

Using the Basic Search Tool

The basic Search Messages tool located under the Mail Actions of a displayed mail folder, searches all parts of an email message (for example, To, From, Subject, Body; etc.)

Multiple word entries are considered a phrase. You do not have to enclose the phrase in quotation marks. For example, the entry, "quarterly earnings report" will search for messages that contain that phrase. It will not search for messages that contain just the word "quarterly" or "earnings," or "report."

Note: If you are looking for a name or email address, enter it.
