The (Settings) button lets you change password, edit notification settings, change language, set up quick sign on (add or change a PIN), set data network preferences, and get support information.

Note: If you change your account password or choose notification settings, the change affects your MOVEit account as a whole, from wherever you access it. The other settings apply just to the mobile app.

Note: The Sign on screen also offers a button. It lets you change configuration, meaning the server URL. See Change Org, Server.

Change your password

You can change your MOVEit password from this device.

Note: This changes the MOVEit password, which is used for the desktop web interface, not just on the device.

Password requirements range in strength. You might receive an error and have to repeat until successful.

Edit notification settings

You can edit your notifications settings. Notification settings pertain to the email notifications you receive from MOVEit.

Note: This changes the MOVEit account overall, so it affects the desktop web interface as well as this device.

Change language

You can change the language of the mobile user interface.

Set quick sign on

Quick sign on is a feature for signing on to the application with a simple numeric password, or 'PIN'. If permitted by your organization, use this setting to create a PIN for safe but easier access to the MOVEit Mobile App.

You can come back to this setting to change the PIN or to disable quick sign on. Without it, you will be required to sign on (enter Username and Password) each time you open MOVEit.

Note: The minimum PIN length is 4-6 digits, depending on configuration. Don’t repeat or simply increment numbers.

Set network preferences

You can set your preference for cellular data network use when transferring files. Choose whether or not to transfer files over your carrier's cellular data network when WiFi is unavailable, or whether you should be asked each time.

This choice is important if you are concerned about exceeding your monthly data plan.

(You are prompted the first time you transfer a file over your carrier network. After that, you can change your setting at any time.)

Get support info

You can get administrator contact information and the MOVEit server version.

Note: The version numbers correspond to the MOVEit server, the mobile server, and either the mobile app (iOs or Android) or the mobile client (i.e., the mobile web browser available for temporary Ad Hoc Transfer users.

Change server

If you belong to more than one organization that provides a MOVEit service, you might need to change your MOVEit configuration.

The "Sign on" screen offers a button that enables you to change configuration, meaning the server URL providing the MOVEit service.

If an administrator gave you shared access to another user's mailbox, you can send and reply to packages in that shared mailbox using your own user account.

You can perform most of the typical package actions within a shared mailbox, such as viewing and replying to Inbox packages, creating, editing, and deleting Drafts and Templates, viewing Sent packages, sent package read status, package history, and viewing packages in the Trash.

You cannot do any of the following in a shared mailbox:

New Packages: You'll see New Packages for all mailboxes that you share. When a package arrives in a shared mailbox, all users with access to the shared mailbox receive an email notification of that package arrival (if an administrator has configured notifications).

A user can mark only his own new packages ‘not new’. New packages in shared mailboxes will remain 'new' until one of the following events occur:

If a user views a package in a shared mailbox and marks it new/not new from within the package, that package will be marked new/not new for all other users with access to that shared mailbox.

Mailboxes: You'll see all mailboxes that you share.

Send Packages: Click From: to select the user who will send the package. If you select Delivery Receipt, both you and the user in the From: field receive the delivery notifications.

Note: To enable delivery notifications, the sender must select Delivery Receipt at the package level.

The signed-in user's Ad Hoc Transfer Signature (managed under My Account) displays in the package's note.

Reply and Forward Packages: The From: field shows the owner of the shared mailbox.

Read Status: To see a package's Read Status, you must view it in the Sent folder of the mailbox that sent it. When you open a sent package and click More next to Read Status, you see only the package's recipients. You will not see users with shared access to a recipient's mailbox.

View Drafts: Shared mailboxes display only the Drafts created by the signed-in user.
