Change a User's Password

Note: If you change a user's password while that user is signed in, the changes won't take effect until he signs out and signs in again.

  1. Sign in to Ipswitch Analytics as an Admin or System Administrator.
  2. Open the Users module.

  3. Click the username you want to edit. The user's details display.
  4. Beneath Password, click Change to create a new password, or click Generate to have the system suggest a new password.

    If you clicked Change, enter a New password and Confirmation, then click Save:

    If you clicked Generate, a randomly-generated password appears in the Password box:

    Note: You can click Generate multiple times to regenerate the password.

  5. When you are satisfied with your changes, click Save.
