About Ipswitch Analytics Licenses and Agents
Each Ipswitch Analytics agent must be associated with a license in order to collect data. During the Ipswitch Analytics installation process, you install the Ipswitch Analytics server, upload a license file, and install the Ipswitch Analytics agent. The first time the agent reports to the server, it takes an available license, and uses that license until you remove the license or remove the agent with which it is associated.
The Base license contains two agent licenses, each of which can be connected to either a MOVEit Automation server, a MOVEit Transfer server, or a Microsoft Exchange server. Additional licenses are specific to the MOVEit server type.
In the upper right corner, Licenses (nn) lists the total number of licenses in your Ipswitch Analytics configuration, and the number of Available licenses. Available licenses have not been applied to a server.

Remove Agent |
Before you remove an agent, you must stop the remote agent services. Note: If you do not stop the services, then after the agent is removed and the data that it collected is cleared, the services will cause the agent to contact the server again, and the agent will start collecting data again. Removing an agent disconnects the agent and makes the agent unavailable to the Ipswitch Analytics server. All associated report data is also cleared. The license is available for use with another agent. |
