Capacity Planning - Exchange Mailbox Database Server and Mailbox

The Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Mailbox acts as a persistent work-queue for the Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Agent.  It collects Exchange 2013 Incident Reports that are generated by an Exchange Transport Rule.  

The Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Agent connects to the mailbox using IMAPS, pulls down the Exchange Incident Reports and submits the email attachment-based file transfer metadata to the UREP> Server.

Ensure both of the following:

• The configured Exchange Mailbox Database Server that hosts the Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Mailbox must have sufficient storage capacity.
• The configured size quotas of the Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Mailbox must be large enough to ensure that items are not rejected from the Mailbox.

General capacity planning for Exchange 2013 deployments is a complex process and out-of-scope for this document. However, this example of Exchange 2013 capacity planning provides helpful information that you can use as you approach capacity planning for the Ipswitch Analytics Exchange Database and Mailbox.
