Memory sizes must be configured properly for Analytics Server to perform well. Analytics Server encompasses two main processes, Tomcat and PostgreSQL. Both consume RAM that is configured separately. The installer calculates the configuration values and applies them automatically during the initial installation or subsequent upgrades.
If more RAM is added between upgrades, manual adjustments must be made in order to configure Analytics Server services to effectively leverage the added capacity.
