Supported Features in Web Admin

MOVEit Automation 2018 features enhancements to the Web Admin, the MOVEit Automation web browser interface. The Web Admin UI has a number of functions that are available in the MOVEit Automation Admin Console (VBAdmin), and additional features such as Amazon S3 Host support that is not available in the MOVEit Automation Admin Console (VBAdmin). Web Admin UI updates and improvements are moving towards parity with the MOVEit Automation Admin Console (VBAdmin), leading to a complete replacement of the MOVEit Automation Admin Console (VBAdmin).

Both the MOVEit Automation Admin Console and the MOVEit Automation Web Admin interfaces are supported in Version 2018, so if you are accessing the same MOVEit Automation server, configurations made in one interface are automatically accessible through the other interface. Both interfaces observe the user permissions configured in the Admin Console.

Use the Admin Console for these features and functions:

• Debug Log
• User Permissions Configuration

You can install MOVEit Automation Web Admin on the same server or a different server as the MOVEit Automation server. If you install it on a different server, it must be able to connect to the MOVEit Automation server.

The Web Admin application connects to MOVEit Automation using the same TCP ports as MOVEit Automation Admin Console (VBAdmin).

This program installs or updates the software. It also provides maintenance options to repair the software.

NOTE: The MOVEit Automation server supports concurrent connections from MOVEit Automation Web Admin and the Admin Console.
