The New screen lets you create a package consisting of a note, attached files, or both. You can address it to local contacts, users in your MOVEit address book, and email addresses that you enter manually.

You can add files or images from this device. You can also take a photo while composing a package.

Note: Subject is always required in the mobile app. Files and Note are individually required or optional depending on your organization.

• To send a package:
  1. Tap Packages.
  2. Tap the New button. This opens the New screen.
  3. Tap the To: field to manually enter one or more email addresses, or tap to choose recipients from either your local Contacts or your MOVEit address book.
  4. Tapping the Cc/Bcc: field opens Cc: and Bcc: fields. Optionally enter or choose recipients for these fields.
  5. In Subject: enter text (always required).
  6. In Files, tap (Attach file) to include secure attachments (required or optional depending on your organization).
  7. In Note... enter text (required or optional depending on your organization).
  8. Optionally tap Options.
  9. Optionally tap Save to save a draft of the email and exit the New screen.
  10. Tap Send.

Note: Mobile does not provide the function where you enter the password to be used by unregistered recipients; mobile will always automatically generate passwords. Use the Send Receipt button in the sent package to see the automatically generated passwords.

Specify recipients

You can address a package to users in your MOVEit address book and to contacts locally stored on your device. You can also manually enter email addresses.

• To specify recipients:
  1. In the New screen, tap to choose recipients from either Contacts from MOVEit (your MOVEit address book) or Contacts from device.
  2. Tap the To: field (left side of row) to manually enter one or more email addresses.
  3. Tapping the Cc/Bcc field opens Cc: and Bcc: fields.

     Tap either row to display the in that field.

     Tap each field (left side of row) to manually enter one or more email addresses.

Selecting contacts from MOVEit or from device

In the New screen, tapping and Contacts from MOVEit opens the Addresses screen. (Contacts from device opens the Contacts screen.) Checkboxes are to the left of names.

Note: The Contacts from device screen lists only those contacts that have an email address.

• To select contacts:
  1. Tap one or more names to select.
  2. When done selecting, tap Add.

     You are returned to the New screen, where the names are added to the selected field.

     (To cancel adding names in the Addresses or Contacts screen, tap the arrow button to go back to the New screen.)

Attach files and photos

You can select files and images to attach – or take pictures – in the New screen.

• To attach files or images:
  1. In the New screen, tap .
  2. In the pop-up, tap Attach file from MOVEit, Attach file from device, Attach existing photo, or Take a picture, as available.
  3. As applicable, select files, select an image, or snap a photo to attach.
  4. Repeat to add more files.
  5. To delete any file listed in Files, tap the icon next to the file.

Attaching files from MOVEit

This enables you to add a file from a MOVEit folder. In the New screen, tapping and Attach file from MOVEit opens the Attach Files screen. The current folder pathname is displayed, along with the folder's contents and a Parent Folder item.

Note: Attach file from MOVEit is only available if you also have file transfer capability.

• To attach files from MOVEit to a new package:
  1. Tap folders and Parent Folder to navigate to the folder you want. Checkboxes are to the left of files.
  2. Tap one or more files to select.
  3. Optionally navigate to other folders for more files by tapping Parent Folder to navigate to the parent (containing) folder.
  4. When done selecting, tap Attach files to package.

     You are returned to the New screen, where the file is added to the list of files to send.

     (To cancel adding the file in the Attach Files screen, tap the arrow button to go back to the New screen.)

Attaching files from device

In the New screen, tapping and Attach file from device opens the Choose file screen, which displays local folders. The current folder pathname is displayed.

Note: Attach file from device is only available on Android devices.

• To attach files from device:
  1. Tap folders to navigate to the folder you want. Checkboxes are to the left of files.
  2. Tap one or more files to select.
  3. Optionally navigate to other folders for more files by tapping Parent Folder to parent (containing) folder.
  4. When done selecting, tap Attach files to package.

     You are returned to the New screen, where the file is added to the list of files to send.

     (To cancel adding the file in the Choose file screen, tap the arrow button to go back to the New screen.)

Attaching an existing photo

In the New screen, tapping and Attach existing photo opens this device's photos app, such as "Camera Roll", "Gallery", or equivalent.

• To attach an existing photo:
  1. Tap the photos or folders to navigate to specific photos.
  2. Tap a picture to select it.

     You are returned to the New screen, where the image is added to the list of files to send.

Taking a new picture to attach

In the New screen, tapping and Take a picture opens this device's Camera app (still photos only).

• To take a picture:
  1. Tapping Take a picture opens this device's Camera app (still photos only).
  2. Snap the photo. (Cancel the photo to return to the New screen without adding a photo.)
  3. In the Preview screen or equivalent, save the photo to attach it (or retake or cancel).

     You are returned to the New screen, where the photo is added to the list of files to send.

Choose options for sending

• To use send options:
  1. In the New screen, tap Options, if it is available.
  2. In the pop-up, which options are displayed depends on how your organization is configured.
  3. Optionally select Secure the note to have the text you enter in the Note... field transferred by MOVEit only (and not included in the new package notification email).
  4. Optionally select Delivery receipts to have delivery receipts sent to you when receipients open the package.
  5. Optionally select Prevent reply all (which prevents replies from being addressed to all of your recipients and you).

     If you do, you additionally have the option to Prevent all replies (which prevents replies to anyone, including you).

  6. Tap OK.

Save draft

You can save a package in the Drafts mailbox on the MOVEit server. You can access the draft later to complete and send.

Note: You cannot save as a template from mobile. However, you can go to Templates and access a template to complete and send.

The draft will include the subject (required) and any recipients, note, and attached files.

• To save a draft package:
  1. In the New screen, enter text in the Subject: field (required).
  2. Tap Save.

When you are ready to finish and send the package, you can go to Mailboxes to access the draft.

Note: When you compose a package, the note portion will be saved automatically on the server at 5 minute intervals to help prevent loss of work. But any attached files will not be included in the automatically saved drafts.
