Sign On Banner and Notice

The Sign On Banner and Notice appear on the sign-on page of the Web Interface and before the user signs in, or when a user connects to the FTP interface.

  • Both the Banner and Notice fields support intra-string language tags.
  • Banner text is restricted to 30 characters. If you exceed this limit, the banner on mobile devices uses the text Security Notice.
  • Fields for entering the banner and notice are blank by default. If you leave them blank, the following default text is used on the sign-on page:

Default Security Notice:

"You are about to access a secured resource. [ORGNAME] reserves the right to monitor and/or limit access to this resource at any time."

The security notice Acknowledgment (check box and security notice text) displays when users sign on to MOVEit Transfer through the Web Interface. Use the default notice, or add language that describes your policy and the responsibility of the users accessing resources by way of MOVEit Transfer.

Click the Require Acceptance of the Security Notice checkbox to ensure that users provide an active response to the Security Notice terms before completing the sign on to MOVEit Transfer WebUI.

Default Acknowledgment:

"I have read and agree to the terms of the Security Notice."

Mobile Interface Visibility Requirement: Specifies when to display the notice on mobile devices when users access the MOVEit Mobile app or web. Options:

  • Not required - Banner and Notice never appear.
  • Required When New - Appears only when the user launches the app and the banner or notice have changed since the last launch.
  • Always Required - Appears every time a user accesses the mobile Sign On page.

Note: If you change the banner and notice, new content does not appear on the mobile app until the user closes the app (manually stops the running app). Signing out does not refresh the banner and notice.
