In the rare event of an internal error occurring during the normal operation of a MOVEit Transfer server, MOVEit Transfer will contain the error and display a message to the end user. The message contains the description of the error, the call stack of the application at the time of the error, instructions to report the error, and technical contact information.
Some company audits may require a demonstration of this error handling capability. For this reason, a special transaction that causes a harmless exception to be thrown inside MOVEit Transfer is available. To execute this transaction, add the csrftoken and the phrase transaction=blowup to your URL query string, as shown in the example. For example, if your MOVEit Transfer server is located at https://moveit.mycompany.com/, sign on to your MOVEit Transfer server, and then load the following URL into your browser:
