Traffic Analysis

Network Traffic Analyzer enables you to monitor network traffic flow, statistics, and traffic patterns from selected observation points (source devices) throughout your network. Network Traffic Analyzer provides a superset of analysis and monitoring capabilities for what was referred to in earlier versions of WhatsUp Gold as IPSwitch Flow Monitor.

SNMP or flow export must be enabled at the potential source devices (network switches and interfaces, for example). WhatsUp Gold network discovery identifies these potential flow, NBAR, and CBQoS source devices. You elect to enable Network Traffic Analyzer monitoring on these devices and traffic information is then collected by WhatsUp Gold.

You can view, analyze, and share observed flow patterns and data by way of a suite of reports, logs, and dashboards that provide rich interactive table grid, charting, and graphing capability.
