Configuration Archives
Configuration Archives ( menu > ) enables you to view, compare and show differences, export, and delete archived device configurations. You can export configurations as XML or plain text.
- (Report Options). Jump to a detailed dashboard or control panel for:
- . Target device with the backed-up configuration.
- . Time of snapshot.
- . Identifier for the archived device configuration snapshot (running configuration, for example).
Generate a report
. Choose one or more host devices you want Configuration Archives information for.
Use the Select Device dialog for one of the following:

Browse and choose a single device.

Choose an existing group of one or more devices. You can also create custom or dynamic groups.

: You can organize devices into custom or dynamic groups. For more information, see Grouping Devices.
: If a device is identified as a virtual machine, Hyper-V or VMware credentials will be used to retrieve data and only those physical resources allocated to the virtual machine will be visible in the report.
. Choose specific windows for archives, reduce the list of archived records by date range.
From the Date Range drop down selector, you can choose:
- A pre-configured date range relative to now (, for example).
- A specific date range relative to now (, for example).
- A custom range that you specify.
: For defining measurement intervals that are periodic, such as measurements that occur within specific hours of the day or days of the week, you can create a range using the Business Hours control.
Share, export, and save as PDF
Most generated Configuration Archives report data can be printed, shared, and exported. Choose 'share' () to access the following options:
