Activating WS_FTP Server Manually

If you did not activate WS_FTP Server during installation, or if you want to activate an upgraded license, select Start > Programs > Progress WS_FTP Server > Activate or Refresh WS_FTP Server License. Before you start the manual activation process, make sure that you have your product serial number, account name, and password available.

Activate WS_FTP Server by doing any of the following:

• Enter your Activation Key and click Activate.
• For offline activation, enter your Activation Key. Uncheck Use active internet connection and click Activate. Click Generate File to save an offline activation file to your computer. copy the offline activation file to a computer with internet access. From that computer, visit https://community.progress.com/s/offline-activation. Log in to the customer support website and then follow the instructions to upload the offline activation file and download a license file, then copy the license file back to this computer and click Next to complete activation using the license file.
• Click Have a License File: Locate the license file and click Activate.

Optionally click Don't have an activate key? or Lost your activation key? to log on to the customer support website and request an activation key.
