Ipswitch has implemented a new premium antispam engine from to replace Mail-Filters StarEngineService. is a plug-and-play email-borne spam and malware outbreak detection daemon that combines your current core messaging network infrastructure with advanced detection and classification capabilities. The daemon adds a layer of e-mail filtering to your mail delivery system in order to provide real-time classification, already in the first minutes after a new outbreak is launched.
Upgrading to IMail 10.02 Plus or Premium requires a license renewal to switch from Mail-Filters to Commtouch. Please keep in mind that once this upgrade has been made, downgrading will become an issue due to the Premium Filter change. - - The IP ignore list will contain IP addresses of all within the organization (e.g. gateway servers, forwarding servers) that should automatically be considered non-spammers and therefore, should not be reported.
- - Listening port number. (Default port is 8088.)

- . Specifies the host name or IP address of the proxy server.

When an incoming message is filtered, the Commtouch Premium Filter settings are applied before Standard antispam settings. The Commtouch Premium Filter provides the following classifications for administrators to create, remove, and manage spam.
- . Spam messages from known spam sources.
- . Spam messages from sources that are not confirmed spammers.
- . Legitimate messages that are sent to slightly larger than average distribution or are unidentified spam messages in the first few seconds of a massive spam outbreak.
- . Messages for which Commtouch's ctasd™ does not have any incriminating information, and are therefore assumed to represent legitimate correspondence.

This command line utility will currently not work for repairs or upgrades. It was designed for new installations only.
Activation on multiple computers will require multiple serial numbers.
- can now be created using the new web messaging calendar. Currently these requests can only be responded to (Accept, Decline) with Outlook. We are still in the process of creating the capability for these requests to work in the Web Client. This new feature allows a user to send request e-mails to attend a meeting or event, with capability to automatically update their calendar depending on their response.
- A link to the old web calendar will still be available in the Web Client. This link (located in the upper right corner of the Web Client) will only display as long as the Web Calendar Service is running. The new Web Calendar uses the WorkgroupShare databases and does not require services.

Client computers that do not have their DayLight Savings checkbox set (manual clock setting), and are in a Time Zone that uses Day Light Savings will have problems with their appointment conversions, when Day Light Savings turns on or off.

- Ipswitch has designed its own tool to protect licensing and to secure delivery for all Messaging software. It will require a new method of activation of all users, whether upgrading from an older version or installing new.
Ipswitch's new DRM will replace HASP from Aladdin Knowledge Systems, Inc. from IMail Server V10 forward.

All previous IMail versions will continue to work and run using HASP from Aladdin.
- A new client was created to allow users with low-bandwidth (dial-up) capability for quicker access to their mailbox. Users can access this new client through the same standard web messaging login screen, by checking the new option . This new client does not have all the features of the standard web client, so as to keep the bandwidth as light as possible. Some features that cannot be accessed are Rules, Contact Groups, Search and Auto Suggest. See your under for more details.
- . This setting, This feature controls check boxes on a current page or check boxes for all messages in the mailbox folder.
- When this feature is checked, the "Check All" will mark all messages in the mailbox folder.
- When this feature is unchecked, the "Check All" will check only the messages on the current page.
- . By popular demand check boxes for message selection/deletion has been implemented. For users that prefer the check box selection method a new option setting in can be checked. Please note the following:
- All new users by default will have the display check box preference turned on.
- For existing users who have an existing preferences.config (saved users preferences) file, the check box option will be turned off.
- For existing users that have never saved their preferences, they will be treated as a new user with the check box option turned on.
