The Initial Landing Page for Web Messaging Lite Help was designed for low-bandwidth usage, and displays only the count of unread messages from the Inbox. This gives capability to easily log in and out without the time consuming process of completely loading all mailboxes, just to check for new messages.
The initial login page can be changed in the User Preferences.
